Ways to help with tsunami relief
What an unbelievable disaster. So striking, so massive. I believe God is a God of Love, and in some ways I wonder—why those people, Lord? But I know He knows. In my human wisdom I think, "What an opportunity for the United States to redeem itself!"
It certainly convicts me . . .

It is an important thing to remember our fellow man and to give to the needy. But any amount of money is not sufficient to redeem this or any nation. Hosea 6:6 I desire righteousness not sacrifice, acknowledgement of God and not burnt offering.
Haggai 2:13-14 Then Haggai said, "If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things (something consecrated to God), does it become defiled?" "Yes", the priests answered, "it becomes defiled" Then Haggai said, "So it is with this people and this nation in my sight', declares the Lord, 'Whatever they do and what ever they offer there is defiled'
Any righteousness we may give is nothing more then filthy rags.
Now if we (Christians) humble ourselves and pray and seek his face, he will hear from heaven and heal our land. Our land needs its heart healed. Then while our gifts will not be perfect, they will be at least given in gratitude to the One who has given us the resources
